Rule # 32: No Talking in the Restroom
This rule applies to men more than women, but if you pass someone you know in the bathroom you should simply try avoid eye contact. Absolutely do not attempt to have an awkward conversation about the weather, your sports team, the long work day, etc. The acoustics of the bathroom make these conversations even more trivial, sound forced and ridiculous. Talking to another man in the restroom will make him uncomfortable and resent you, so don't do it. It's much easier just to avoid this. If you happen to make eye contact, a simple nod will do.
IN NO SITUATION IS IT OKAY TO TALK FROM STALL TO STALL - MEN OR WOMEN. That's just plum gross.
